Warmikuna

The Warmikuna project is an online platform for archiving and disseminating the oral heritage produced by Amerindian women in indigenous languages.

Warmikuna brings together researchers and field actors from France and Peru in two types of workshops: Quechua-Spanish-French translation workshops for the dissemination of the compiled audiovisual material and weaving workshops for a sensitive activation of the photographic material.

Warmikuna stems from the doctoral research of Tania Romero Barrios (University Paris 8), who is working in collaboration with the women of the ANFASEP association in Ayacucho (Peru) to build an audiovisual archive of songs about the Peruvian armed conflict told from the point of view of indigenous women.
